WHY US?

Why buy a clothing rack from us? What do we do differently than other shops? Well first let's talk about the other shop's processes. As you may have noticed many other shops offer a clothing rack similar to ours. The difference is hard to see yet it's there and very important.

The first big difference in our racks and theirs are that our bases are wider. Why are they wider? Answer, stability. Our bases started out at 12&1/2" wide and went to 14" wide quickly. A clothing rack needs a wide base so it does not fall over easily. This would be very important in a store environment. Ours are more stable as you add more clothing and thus weight. So if this is the case then why do other shops use such narrow bases? Answer, they have no choice. they do not have the equipment to cut wood and glue up wide pieces. Therefore they are left to only buy the widest wood pieces they can get. Most of the time that is a 2 x 12 from the big box store. Then the other problem with that is most of the time when you have to buy 2 x 12s the only choice is yellow pine. We all know how crappy yellow pine looks stained. This leaves many shops taking pics from far away and using dark stains that cover up the grain as much as possible. These racks are also very un stable as they are very narrow. In fact they get more un stable as clothing is added. Imagine some kid pulling one of these over on them in your store or home?

Then there are other issues. The first one is the edges and corners. Most shops don't bevel the edges and corners like we do. Look at the pics up close. They just leave a sharp cut edge. Not very nice detail if you ask me. They also sometimes don't even sand the pieces. They just stain them and leave them at that. They also use some of the worst looking pipe I've ever seen. The pipes and fittings are very important. Especially if they don't coat them in any way. You are then going to have rust eventually. Some just leave the black gunk on them from the big box store and it gets on your clothes. Some also use cheap plastic casters and/or even 1/2" pipe.

Our racks are made with much better wood with much nicer grains. We offer more styles and lengths of racks. We offer more stain choices, customization etc. We just plain make much better racks. Just look at the grain patterns, the stains, the edges, the pipes etc. For more on the process we use to make our racks please click
