You will need a #3 Phillips head screwdriver or bit for a drill. #2 is the most common size but will likely strip the heads of the screws. Start by getting the base and laying it upside down. On the bottom you will find 4 pre drilled holes in each corner. Use the #10x1" screws to install the casters. Hand tight only on all screws.
Next find the hanging bar. On the 55" the hanging bar is 48" long, on the 43" it's 36" long, on the 37" it's 30" long and on the 31" it's 24" long. On both ends of the hanging bar add a 90 degree fitting. Hand tight only on all fittings also. These are tapered pipe threads so they get tighter as you go. Next install the vertical pipes. These are 48" long unless you ordered a custom height rack. If you ordered the rack a custom height go to step 3. If not then skip to step 4
To assemble the vertical pipes for your custom height rack find the two short pipes and two small pipe connectors. Install the connectors on top the two long pipes and then the short pipes into the connectors.
Next install the pipe assembly on top of the base. The holes for the base flanges are also pre drilled. Rotate the base flanges to line up with these holes. Using the flange screws start all of them before tightening any of them. Hand tight only on the screws.
Now your East Village rack should be complete.
